Since 2011, Ferndale has kicked off summer with its annual pride festival. Listed on the website After Ellen as a ”Small City Pride That is Worth the Trip,” Ferndale Pride draws more than 25,000 attendees for a full week of events leading up to Pride’s premiere event the daylong street fair. At the fair, the main stage entertains crowds with internationally known artists, such as The Clicks, Goddess & She, Tony Lucca and Tunde. The dance stage keeps the crowd boogying as Detroit’s best DJs spin into the evening. Over a 150 booths line the streets as sponsors and vendors create a festive mood for the participants.
Ferndale Pride seeks unique vendors that speak to the vibrancy and diversity of our community. Local retailers, artists and craftspeople; gender and sexual minority centric vendors; and family oriented, healthy living and nonprofit organizations are some of the types of vendors who are successful at Ferndale Pride.
