Hot Daddies Contest

Soho, 205 W. Nine Mile Road

The hottest gentleman over the age of 35 will be coaxing votes from the crowd while fighting for the coveted title of Ferndale Pride’s Hottest Daddy. Use your dollar bills to vote for your favorite contender. Your vote also buys you a chance for a free round of drinks with the winning daddy at the end of the night. The winning daddy walks away with bragging rights and gifts from local sponsors.

Viewing and discussion of Gender Revolution: A Journey with Katie Couric

Burlesque and Body Positivity with Luna Legare

7 to 8:30 p.m.

Luna Legare is a burlesque performer, producer and educator based in Ann Arbor. She is the boss lady of Guilty Pleasures Burlesque, a bimonthly show in Ypsilanti featuring burlesque, drag and comedy performers. Luna can be seen in shows throughout the Midwest and has performed at Windy City Burlesque Festival, Ohio Burlesque Festival, Michigan Burlesque Festival and Fierce! Queer Burlesque Festival.​ All genders are welcome; participants must be at least age 18.

Summer of Pride – Gallery Opening

Affirmations will be hosting its annual Pride art gallery show, “Summer of Pride,” in the Pittmann-Puckett Gallery. Celebrate the opening of this show with new art, live performances, time with the artists and refreshments.

Rainbow Run – Presented by Ferndale Area Chamber of Commerce

8:30 to 10:30 a.m.  (see website for your start time)

Foley Mansfield Parking Lot, 130 E. Nine Mile Road

The annual 5-kilometer run and 2-kilometer walk celebrates acceptance, diversity and anti-bullying. A 2-kilometer Canine Color Walk also is available. Pride Prom: Galaxy Affirmations

6 to 8 p.m.

Dance the night away to DJ Tone and enjoy free snacks including popcorn, slushies, cotton candy and nachos. Raffle prizes will be awarded for the crowd voted prom court. Come in costume or come as you are for an evening of intergalactic enjoyment. This FREE event is for ages 13 to 20.
